End of the Road Christmas Shindig
The End of the Road team are today announcing the details for their yearly Christmas get-together gig. Among this year's performing guests are:
The Broken Family Band - who play music because they love it, and they just keep getting better. To date they have released two mini albums and four full-length albums. They've just finished a new album, which will be out in the new year. Please And Thank You sees them delve into a peculiarly groovy, English take on rock music and is going to shake some hips…
It's been a few years since The Broken Family Band recorded anything approaching 'country' music but they are committed to providing excellence in entertainment, despite not being particularly interesting to look at. Onstage they are enthralling and inclusive.
The Accidental are also set to perform. Take the man behind The Memory Band and co-founder of Trunk Records (Stephen Cracknell), the twisted songwriter from Tunng (main man Sam Genders), one half of Fence Collective duo The Bicycle Thieves (Hannah Caughlin) and singer-songwriter Liam Bailey. Put them in front of a PC with the help of a few friends and the outcome is new collective The Accidental and their beguiling debut album There Were Wolves..
Thursday 18th December at Cargo
Doors: 7pm - 1am
Cost: £8 in advance / £10 on the door
Plus End of the Road DJs until 1am and more acts are still TBC.
