Dizzee Rascal and White Lies to play Evolution Festival
Dizzee Rascal, The Wombats and the Mystery Jets have been announced as part of an impressive line-up at the Evolution Festival in Newcastle this year.
Held over the May Bank Holiday across Newcastle and Gateshead, the festival has been growing steadily in size and reputation over the last few years.
Around 60,000 music fans are expected to attend this year’s event, with the majority of acts playing the outdoor stages on the banks of the River Tyne.
Boys Noize, Chase & Status Live and Kissy Sell Out will headline the Dance Stage, held in association with Wax On.
Also featuring at the festival, which is held in support of Water Aid, is Evolution Unsigned which will see 20 unsigned bands given the opportunity to perform at five of the best venues in Newcastle.
White Lies, the Maccabees, The View, Friendly Fires, Ladyhawke, and James Yuill also feature in the line-up, with further artists to be announced at a later date.
Weekender tickets are available now at £15 (plus booking fee) with one-day tickets costing £9.50 to be released on Thursday, 12th March.
