Sitting in the conservatory of Warner Music towers in London, Stardeath and White Dwarfs were looking forward to an afternoon off in the sunny capital before flying home to continue their tour in the US.

Their three-day mini-tour had taken in sets at two of the UK's major festivals and a headlining gig in London - not bad for a band who have only just released their debut album, The Birth.

But despite their hectic schedule, the band appeared relaxed and were happy to discuss their sound, their inspiration and their journey so far.

They'll be back in the UK in the autumn, this time supporting another Oklahoma band, the Flaming Lips.
