Arctic Monkeys are doing it for charity
The Arctic Monkeys are ready to ditch the CD and release their new single 'Crying Lightning' on 7" vinyl, exclusively for Oxfam.
The limited edition vinyl will be available for £2.99 across 700 Oxfam stores nationwide and online from the 17th August, with all proceeds going straight to charity.
The new track is the Sheffield quartet's first single to be taken from their highly-anticipated and much-talked-about third album 'Humbug', which is due for release on 24th August.
To delight fans further, the charity purchase comes with a special download code, which enables those who manage to grab a copy to download an mp3 version of the release. A cover of Nick Cave's 'Red Right Hand' will feature as the single's B-side.
This is the first Oxfam single release since 'Do They Know It's Christmas' in 1984, proving that the boys are still one of the UK's most sought-after acts.

Arctic Monkeys - Cornerstone (Domino)
Second single from that difficult third album for Alex Turner and his band. A great story with a slight twist, narrated over a cracking tune. One of the album's highlights.

The Noughties' most vital British band return for their third outing. Is there a glimmer of hope for their rivals? There could well be.
