Arctic Monkeys release new single via Oxfam shops
Fans buying the new Arctic Monkeys single from Oxfam shops on Monday 17th August will have the chance to see the band headline Reading and Leeds, as two singles will contain a winning code to get tickets to the festivals when entered online.
Forty copies of the single signed by the entire band will also be distributed throughout Oxfam's shop network, with a further fifteen sent out randomly to customers who order the single from the Oxfam website.
The band are set to record another music industry first when they release their new single, 'Crying Lightning', through Oxfam's network of 700 charity shops on Monday 17th August, with proceeds going to help the charity's lifesaving work around the world.
The release marks the first time Oxfam shops have sold a new release single for 25 years.
The 'Crying Lightning' 7" will cost £2.99, and each single will come with a download code allowing fans to get an MP3 version of the songs for free.
The limited-edition 7", which is the first single from new album Humbug, features a cover of the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds classic 'Red Right Hand' as a B-side, and goes on sale in every one of Oxfam's 700 high street shops on Monday.

Arctic Monkeys - Cornerstone (Domino)
Second single from that difficult third album for Alex Turner and his band. A great story with a slight twist, narrated over a cracking tune. One of the album's highlights.
