James Morrison for 2008 forest gig

The singer is set to appear at Delamere Forest, Cheshire, later this year. Morrison performed a similar gig in his home county at Sherwood Forest Pines Park in 2007.

The concert will be supporting the Forestry Commission’s valuable social and environmental programmes and is the first confirmed date as part of the venue's celebrated summer concert weekend.

Morrison’s debut album, Undiscovered, has proved a phenomenal seller since its 2006 release reaching in excess of one million in UK sales.

Morrison’s fantastic vocal talent and song writing skills produced classic hits like You Give Me Something, Wonderful World, The Pieces Don’t Fit Anymore and the album's title track, Undiscovered, that continue to dominate radio stations across the UK.

James Morrison said: "I loved the forest gigs in 2007 so this is unfinished business. I am really looking forward to playing Delamere Forest as it’s the one Forest I didn’t bag last year."

Commenting on the booking, Vernon Stockton, Community Forester for the Forestry Commission stated: "We missed out last year when James Morrison played six sell-out shows as part of the Forestry Commission’s forest tour, so we are delighted to have secured a date with him for this Summer'.

James Morrison will be performing at: Delamere Forest inCheshire on Saturday 14th June 2008.
