Kylie Minogue to host Brit Awards

According to a daily newspaper in the UK, the Australian popstar is close to agreeing a deal which will see her fronting the ceremony alongside Gavin & Stacey stars Mathew Horne and James Corden.

An insider told the newspaper: "Kylie's been in lengthy talks with organisers of the 2009 show, and the last-minute details are being finalised. She's the icing on the cake of what promises to be the best show ever.

"The Pet Shop Boys are getting a lifetime achievement award and there are going to be lots of surprises," the source revealed.

The event will take place on 18th February at London's Earls Court.
