Duet for Winehouse & Doherty

Pete Doherty has spoken in the press this week about his forthcoming plans, and about his current life. The announcement which attracted most attention was the news that Doherty would be recording a duet with Amy Winehouse. The as-yet untitled track will appear on the next Babyshambles LP, and Doherty has revealed that guitarist Mick Whitnall has already held writing sessions with Winehouse for the summer single.

"Mick and Amy have a great relationship," Doherty said. "They have been working on material while I was in prison. When I came out I went straight to the recording studio. I just want to get going."

Doherty also revealed to the newspaper that a fellow inmate threatened to stab him during his 29-day incarceration at Wormwood Scrubs.
