Guns N' Roses in negotiations for 2009 charity bill

Guns n' Roses 2006 With their first album of new material in fifteen years being released in less than two weeks, many GNR fans have been wondering when the band will resume touring, and they may now get an idea.

Musician Mike Peters, who performs with US act The Alarm, is currently in negotiation with GNR and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, among others, to appear at a charity event in Las Vegas next summer.

Peters is the co founder of Love Hope Strength, a charity dedicated to the battle against cancer, and has just returned from his first visit to Lima. Peters hopes that LHS can host Vegas Rocks, a follow up to the popular Peru Rocks and Everest Rocks events, in the first fortnight of July 2009 at the same time as Peters will lead an exhibition through the Grand Canyon.

The Alarm's latest album was produced by Gilby Clarke, the former Rhythmn Guitarist of Guns N' Roses, who is still on good terms with represenatives of Axl Rose. LHS other co-founder, James Chippendale, has built up a weath of contacts insuring rock bands and hopes that the RHCP, who in May announced they had disbanded for at least a year, are expected to perform their first concert in almost 24 months should their apperance go ahead.
