The Rakes reveal details of new LP

The Rakes have announced details of their third studio album which is to be released on 23rd March 2009.

The new record, which will be titled Klang, was recorded at Planet Roc Studios in Berlin and produced by Chris Zane (Les Savy Fav, The Walkmen, Passion Pit).

The band decided to temporarily relocate to Germany for recording as they were finding the London music scene uninspiring and "dull".

Lead singer Alan Donohoe described the new album as "raw, playful, exciting, complex and schizophrenic".

The tracklisting is as follows:

That's The Reason
The Loneliness Of The Outdoor Smoker
Bitchin' in the Kitchin'
The Woes Of The Working Woman
1989
Shackelton
The Light From Your Mac
Muller's Ratchet
The Final Hill
Never Get Married

The first single to be taken from the album will be '1989', which is set for release on 16th March 2009.
