Milke - Love Get Out Of My Way (Gulp Communications)

With the hype of the genre, it’s hardly surprising that the various offsprings of Electro have acts seeping from their seams. A fairly recent addition to the Electro-Pop scene comes in the form of London-based duo Milke, and they hope that their freshly-composed 'Love Get Out Of My Way' will contribute to their already growing acclaim.

Since their respective 'boom' in 2006, Milke have been performing live in and around the UK, as well as taking the time to branch out with performances across Europe. Here might lie the reason why they don't have much to say for themselves release-wise.

'Love Get Out Of My Way' is an excellent example of what Milke can do, and is furthermore an even better example of what is great about Electro-Pop. The chorus and wobbly major synths are infectiously catchy, and the entertaining melodies provide a very justifiable reason to dance away with the music.

Their past experience and expertise really is immediately evident in the sheer clarity of the sounds they produce - the composition is closely akin to what Crystal Castles may come up with if they disposed of the deeply dark-themed vibe and decided to be a happy pair of Canadians.

The sound of Electro is very different to what it was ten years ago, and Milke will be sure to satisfy fans of the genre with this masterfully-crafted little track.
