Milke - Maybe I'm Crazy (Gulp Communications)

It's undoubtedly a great thing for any music act when the first single release is somewhat of a fan gainer - as was the case with Milke's 'Love Get Out Of My Way' earlier this year. But it also creates the difficult feat of being a hard act to follow.

'Maybe I'm Crazy' is a fairly pleasing slice of modern Electro-Pop; it contains the relevant elements to nicely accompany a summer-themed party atmosphere, and could also sit happily in a car stereo as the listener gets from A to B.

The flaw of this single is the fact that it doesn't seem much more than an average track, and it isn't far removed from a majority of dance tunes typically released in preparation for the British party season. Despite this, it has an infectiously catchy chorus, it's well-composed, and it has a good balance between bass, drums and synth.

Without taking into account the single released beforehand, 'Maybe I'm Crazy' is a decent, well-produced record. It's just a shame that the song fails to outshine the band's debut single. Fans and newcomers alike will more than likely feel the need to react to 'Maybe I'm Crazy' with a dance.

I think 'Maybe I'm Crazy' is a GREAT track.The vocals have a bittersweet quality that anyone with a heart could feel deep in your soul. I played this on my show The G Spod and I will surely be playing it again.
