Rihanna - Disturbia (Def Jam)

It's no wonder Rihanna's won so many awards and had so many top ten hits: her releases have been extremely well crafted, and sounded fresh and original every time. Disturbia continues this trend with what's set to be one of the catchiest songs of 2008.

From the pulsating 'dum dum de dum' beginning to the infectious chorus, it's a winner from start to finish. While 'Don't Stop The Music' - her previous offering - sent a salute to the 70s disco scene, Disturbia brings us all back up to date with a dance anthem full of attitude, sex appeal and mystery.

True to the lyrics 'Your mind's in Disturbia', once you hear this song once it's guaranteed to humming the verse in your head for at least a week. In fact it's so catchy, any major club DJ would be a fool not to play it or its remixes.

It's hard to say whether it's Rihanna's best ever song - she's still pretty young and all of her releases have been great in their own way. But if you want a big club anthem and find yourself living for the moment, this is a good choice.
