September - Cry For You (Hard2beat)

One Word: September. I know what you’re thinking, the month right? Wrong. Originating from Sweden, September is breaking the barriers from a country where at one point; Abba was their main musical prowess. Can she do it? Let’s put forward a thesis.

Taken from the up and coming album ‘Dancing Shoes’ the track bares an uncanny resemblance to Supermode’s ‘Tell Me Why’. At first you ponder the likelihood of the track and wonder if this can ever be anything more than another attempt at sampling a classic. Nevertheless, the more you listen, she proves you wrong.

The impressive vocal range that is oh so obvious throughout the track becomes undoubtedly catchy, sending shivers down your spine to leave you feeling energetic and revived. Upon listening, it is difficult to understand why September has not been around sooner, but here comes the bombshell. She has.

Although only now becoming a fully fledged artist in the United Kingdom, it seems as though September was worth the wait. Escaping into a world where electronics meet dance, this clearly is a ‘hairbrush in the mirror’ moment.
