"Beach Break Live 2008 was prospectively one of our summer festival highlights, with sun, sea, sand and a wealth of seasoned and new artists performing. It couldn't really have been much better."
Well, that was last year's verdict. And festival organisers are promising more of the same for Beach Break 2009!
2008 saw the student bash return for its second year on the something-for-everyone festival market, following a nomination for Best New Festival at the previous year's coveted UK Festival Awards.
With a much-hyped line-up of bands including One Night Only, Grammatics and The Wombats - as well as a special week-long treat from the various acts of the Academy of Contemporary Music - it really set itself up to be a spectacular event for any student's festival calendar.
This year the festival's boasting an increased capacity of 10,000 and headliners including Friendly Fires, Ladyhawke, and Dizzee Rascal. Add to that a choice selection of killer DJs and the £84 ticket price seems almost like daylight robbery.
