Everyone is talking about Download 2011, with early bird tickets going on sale on 3rd December, just in time to make their way into stockings. Headliners, or the first list of major acts, will be released on 29th November as the anticipation builds.
The metal festival will once again take place at Donnington Park, the spirtual birthplace of rock and metal within the UK, and the scene of AC/DC's historic performance earlier this year.
According to eFestivals, the website defined by successfully predicting headliners of major UK festivals, big names like Foo Fighters and a David Lee Roth-fronted Van Halen are mentioned, while Ozzy Osbourne shouldn't be discounted either.
System of a Down are also scheduled to perform at the festival, with the band due to announce their comeback touring schedule on the same morning as Download announces its headliners, this being the first time the quartet will have performed together in five years.
Download has previously featured such big names as Rage Against The Machine, Metallica, Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver, Slipknot and Aerosmith since relaunching its brand in 2003.
