Hip-hop queen Missy Elliott has been confirmed for this year's Wireless Festival, which is due to take place in Hyde Park on Saturday 3rd July.
Missy Elliott is the first lady of hip-hop and the only female rapper to have six platinum selling albums under her belt. A hugely respected record producer as well as acclaimed singer/songwriter, Missy Elliott has consistently pushed the boundaries.
The mastermind behind massive club hits such as '4 My People' and 'Get Ur Freak On' is sure to mix it up in a big way as part of this Super Saturday session in Hyde Park, which also features co-headliners LCD Soundsystem and 2ManyDJs Live, plus DJ Shadow, U.N.K.L.E and The Big Pink.
More acts have been added to the Friday of the Festival, including Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, the brilliant live band founded by Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters notoriety.
Adding to the already stellar Sunday line-up, headlined by mega star JAY-Z, is the UK's very own Chipmunk, who won Best Hip-Hop act at the 2009 MOBO Awards, topped the charts with one of last summer's hottest hits with 'Oopsy Daisy' and slammed straight into the top five with debut album 'I Am Chipmunk'.
