New acts finalise Sonisphere UK bill

The last few acts for this year's Sonisphere festival have been added to the line up, less then a week before the festival is due to commence, on 29th July and 1st August.

The Bohemia Tent has seen performances added from Enforcer, while a new look Jagermeister stage promises additions from Karma To Burn, label mates Malefice, October File, Winnebago Deal, Cerebral Palazy and Belfast's Sweet Savage - who will also be supporting Sonisphere headliners Iron Maiden in Dublin the same weekend.

A new stage, entitled Red Bull Bedroom Jam, has seen an increase in lesser-known acts and hidden talent - both from the UK and further afield - with some bands making their UK debut at Sonisphere. France's Headcharger will be among them, with This Is Divine, Stand Up Guy, Love Amongst Ruin (with ex-Placebo drummer Steve Hewitt) and Never Means Maybe.

If that wasn't enough, the Bohemia Bar will also feature live acts every day, with Bleed From Within and Kvelertak the latest additions.

One change to the line-up has been the cancellation of Municipal Waste, who were due to play on Sunday on the Bohemia Stage. There has been no official replacement made for this band but The Defiled have been upgraded as a result.

Comedy at the festival will be provided by Jarred Christmas MC on both Saturday and Sunday, with a collection of acts including Tim Michin and Andrew O'Neill. Comedy on Friday will be supplied by Chortle with a selection of the best talent available.

Tickets for Sonisphere are priced at £170 and will be available locally upon the opening of the festival; they are currently on sale at the online price of £135. Day tickets are also available: £40 for Friday and £60 for Saturday and Sunday.
