On the earlier side of a surprisingly warm afternoon at Leeds Fest 2009, we caught up with Benny Horowitz, better known as The Gaslight Anthem's drummer.
The band have been performing to crowds seemingly non-stop since they first embarked on their tour for The '59 Sound in November 2008. Their hard work has certainly paid off, though - evidence being the amount of fans that flocked to see them at the festivals this summer.
They've often been compared to sounds such as that of Bruce Springsteen, so his surprise performance with them at Glastonbury without a doubt managed to give them a huge amount of publicity and helped them to add to their already rapidly growing fan-base.
Afterwards, Benny took to the stage with his band to play the Festival Republic tent. Their performance proof of exactly why they were asked to return to the event for the second year in a row. Gigs like this can leave one wondering what to expect from their next album that's currently pending creation.
