Enter Shikari have come a long way since the release of their debut album, Take to the Skies, back in 2007 - so much so that they had themselves performing a Friday slot on the main stage of Leeds Festival 2009. Chris (bassist) and Rob (drummer) met us for a chat before their set, and spoke about everything from past inspirations to future aspirations.
Following the interview, they didn't fail to please the masses of fans that flocked to see them. Their 45-minute set allowed them to drop a few classics whilst at the same time showcasing their new material, and ultimately resulting in a particularly hyped, crazy and excited crowd.
Squeezing in a number of different genres whilst still keeping to their Rock styled theme has let Enter Shikari gain an ability to please a wide range of tastes without alienating their existing fan base. Despite the fact that the reasonably strong winds were repeatedly interfering with the clarity of their sound, a good example has been made of what fans can expect from their upcoming tour.
