Amanda Briggs | Tuesday, 02 November 2010
The US rockers will play five cities in 2011, including a return to London's Hyde Park, their biggest ever solo UK gig.
Tickets for the shows in Coventry, Sunderland, Manchester, London and Edinburgh go on sale on Wednesday 3rd November at 9am.
Fewer than 100 people watched at The Rivoli Ballroom in south-east London on Wednesday night (27th October). The band kicked off the hour-long set with their current single, 'Radioactive'.
Singer Caleb Followill, who appeared to be suffering from jet-lag, told the crowd: "You don't always get a chance to play a venue like this, so thank you. We're having fun."
They played material from their four-album back catalogue and seven new tracks from their latest LP, Come Around Sundown.
Confirmed 2011 live dates:
Coventry Ricoh Arena - 30 May
Sunderland Stadium of Light - 17 June
Manchester Lancashire County Cricket Ground - 19 June
London Hyde Park - 22 June
Edinburgh Murrayfield Stadium - 26 June
