Jónsi - Go Do (Parlophone)

The Go Do EP from Jónsi (better known as the focal point of Sigur Rós) precedes the release of his glorious debut full-length album, Go, out on 5th April.

Containing three tracks from said album, Go Do is a teaser, a little taste of what's to come and something to whet the appetites of all the fans who've been chomping at the bit to hear more since we were treated to a free download of 'Boy Lilikoi' a couple of months ago.

The three tracks on this EP are all very different from that song, as well as from each other, hinting at the range of dynamics that we'll get from the album and veering from the joyful playfulnessof 'Go' to the more introspective sounds of 'Kolni' and the tremendous building power of 'Grow Till Tall'. Parts of this EP will make you grin from ear to ear, and all of it will make you want to experience the album in full.

Fans of Sigur Rós won't be disappointed by Go Do. 'Kolni', for instance, contains elements of some of the band's newer material, but that doesn't mean it sounds like one of their records. Whilst Jónsi's voice is very distinctive, this is something quite different, and Go Do will leave you wanting more.
