Swedish House Mafia - One (Your Name) (Virgin Records)

As Ibiza spits out the dwindling dregs of sun seeking hedonists and the insomnia cursed DJs start tallying up their ever-increasing air miles, there's only one question on everyone's lips: What has been the undisputed electronic anthem to all this floor filled, Jagerbomb drenched debauchery? For many, it will be 'One (Your Name)', the latest single by the Balearic head dons themselves: Swedish House Mafia.

Comprising of fellow Swedes Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell and Steve Angello, the Swedish House Mafia have managed to hustle their way to the pinnacle of electro / progressive house music. As individuals, their sonic achievements have all received plenty of commercial and underground praise. But it is with their first official release that the trio intend to prove that they can do more than host sell-out parties the globe over.

'One (Your Name)' defines the euphoric main room sound of the Mafia boys. With its melodic progressions, sequential breakdowns and high-energy climaxes, the track truly is a lesson in how to make commercially viable house music that even the most discerning of critics fault too much.

Perhaps, the addition of repetitive vocals from R 'n' B pin-up boy Pharrell Williams should have been avoided; this only evokes the opinion that maybe the production behemoths felt they wouldn't be able to brake into the mainstream without jumping on 'cross-over' bandwagon. It's a painfully obvious tactic many house producers are using in order to gain commercial gratification.

Overall, 'One (Your Name)' showcases the faultless production of the Swedish House Mafia as both a collective and as individuals. It will no doubt be a hit with the rave paint masses still clutching onto summertime nostalgia. However, the accolade of this year's anthem is still yet to be truly decided.
